The 24th European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling for seniors and juniors that are taking place this week in Guimarães/POR continue with the qualifications and the team finals at the end of the day.
The morning was dedicated to the qualifications in Tumbling and Double Mini Trampoline for the junior girls and boys.
The girls started first on Tumbling : 29 gymnasts from 8 different countries (BLR – POR – UKR – DEN – GBR – FRA – RUS – BEL) started in 3 groups.
It is the French Emilie Wambote, 4th of the junior ECh 2012 in St. Petersburg who takes the lead of these qualifications with a score of 63.800 ahead of the Portuguese Raquel Pinto (63.300) and the British Rachel Davies (63.000).
Noteworth is the 4th rank of these qualifications occupied by the Belgian Tachina Peeters (62.900), current Junior European Vice-Champion.
The qualified nations for the finals are: FRA – POR (x2) – GBR (x2) – BEL – RUS (x2)
In the category of the DMT boys, 20 gymnasts from 7 nations (IRL – ESP – POR – GRE – EST – GBR – RUS) devided into 2 groups line up in front of the judges
1-Tiago Romao/POR 69.700
2-Carlos Manjon/ESP 69.400
3-Ion Geine/RUS 68.400
The qualified nations for the finals are: POR (x2) – ESP (x2) – RUS – IRL – GBR - GRE
Qualifications TUM boys :
It was not before the passage of the last gymnasts from the last group that the top qualifier was known: the Ukrainian Oleg Aksamitnyi prevailed in this competition with a passage worth 68.600. The Russian Vadim AFANASEV and Mikhail Khomchanka from Belarus take the second (68.300) and the third (67.400) preliminary ranks respectively.
The qualified nations for tomorrow’s finals are : UKR (x2) – RUS (x2) – BLR (X2) – GBR (X2)
Qualifications DMT girls:
The Russian Veronika Kotovshchikova (66.900) outscores the Spanish Yael Campelo (65.300). The Russian Evgeniia Pak, who presented an exercise worth 65.100, secures the third provisional rank.
The qualified nations for the finals are: RUS (x2) – ESP – POR (X2) – GBR – GRE – BEL
And the competition goes on with the seniors’ qualifications in Trampoline.
