The deadline for the nominative entries for the upcoming Rhythmic Europeans has now passed. 37 federations will send their gymnasts to Varna (BUL). 20 junior groups, 86 senior individuals and 18 senior groups.
Headlined by Russian superstars Dina and Arina Averina, defending European all-around Champion Linoy Ashram (ISR) and home star Boryana Kaleyn (BUL), the field also features 2019 junior World Champion Lala Kramarenko (RUS), Ukraine’s talented trio Polina Karika, Krystyna Pohranychna and Viktoria Onoprienko, Azerbaijan’s Arzu Jalilova and Zohra Aghamirova, Belarussian stand-outs Anastasia Salos, Alina Harnasko and Katsiaryna Halkina, crowd favourite Katrin Taseva (BUL), France’s Kseniya Moustafaeva, Salome Pazhava (GEO), Nicol Zelikman (ISR), Italy’s trailblazers Milena Baldassarri and Alexandra Agiurgiuculese, and many others. This season, the Bulgarian group has been in a league of their own, a feat they will be looking to continue in Varna’s Palace of Culture and Sports. They’ll face stiff competition from Italy, Belarus, Russia, amongst other.
Not only continental glory, but also two Olympic tickets (1 for individuals and 1 for groups) are at stake. The event will be held from 9 to 13 June 2021. A decision on whether public will be allowed or not will be made soon.
