Decision of the Executive Committee regarding the participation of RUS and BLR athletes

Following the decision of World Gymnastics published on 18 May 2026 to lift all restrictions  regarding Russian and Belarusian athletes, removing the Ad-Hoc rules effective immediately, the European Gymnastics Executive Committee held an extra online meeting on Thursday 21 May 2026. After the mandatory 48 hours for e-voting, the following decisions were made:

• European Gymnastics will follow the World Gymnastics decision to lift all restrictions applicable to the participation of RUS/BLR, as the World Gymnastics Ad-Hoc rules are no longer in force. 
• This decision will be ratified in an Extraordinary Online General Assembly to be held soon.
