On 19 and 20 June 2026, the Executive Committee of European Gymnastics met in Reykjavik (ISL) for the second meeting of the new legislative cycle. Led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), the following official decisions were made:
- The 2028 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics are awarded to the Greek capital Athens. The men’s competition will be held from 24 to 28 May 2028, followed by the women’s competition from 1 to 4 June 2028.
- The 2028 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics are awarded to Orléans (FRA). This event will be held from 3 to 7 May 2028 in the Co’Met arena.
- The 2028 edition of the Golden Age Gym Festival is awarded to Tirana (ALB). The event will be held from 1 to 6 October 2028.
- The 2027 Congress is awarded to Baku (AZE). This event will be held on 10 & 11 December 2027.
- The rules for Award Ceremonies were updated to include sponsors and will be published on our website shortly.
- A call for hosts is open for the following European Gymnastics events: 2027 European Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics stages, the 2028 European Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics and TeamGym, the 2028 European Gym for Life Challenge, 2028 EUROGYM including Acro Pre-Youth event, the 2029 multidiscipline event junior & youth and the 2029 European Gymnastics Games.
The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Lausanne (SUI) on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026.
