This afternoon is dedicated to the seniors apparatus finals. 1st final on vault, then on uneven bars followed by the beam and finally the floor final.
Titles went to 5 different countries! Switzerland started off on vault with Steingruber vaulting to gold to defend her title. Anna Pavlova won Azerbaijan's first medal, a silver on vault. Great Britain won gold on bars with a difficult and well-executed routine. Russian first-year senior, Maria Kharenkova, won gold on beam. Italy's Vanessa Ferrari and Romania's Larisa Iordache tied on for the title on floor. Steingruber won her second medal of the day with a bronze on floor. 3 medals for Iordache, two for Mustafina and Steingruber!
Surprise: no European title for Mustafina, but silver on bars and bronze on beam.

Switzerland's Guilia Steingruber takes gold on vault again with 14.666! Veteran Anna Pavlova wins the first medal for Azerbaijan, a silver with 14.583. Iordache wins bronze with 14.533.
Great Britain's Becky Downie is the new European champion on bars! She scores a high 15.500 to beat Russians Mustafina (15.266) and Spiridonova (14.966).
First-year senior Maria Kharenkova of Russia wins the beam title with 14.933. Iordache (ROU) is second with 14.800 and Mustafina third with 14.733.
Vanessa Ferrari (ITA) and Larisa Iordache (ROU) tie for the floor title with 14.800! Giulia Steingruber of Switzerland wins bronze with 14.500!
