While the preparations for the Championships are in full swing 2 days prior to the kick-off of the competition with competition I of the juniors and while the gymnasts complete their podium training, let’s have a look back on yesterday’s information meeting to recall some important information.

Yesterday evening at 20h00 the staff and the authority members of the European Union of Gymnastics and of the Organising Committee/Bulgarian Gymnastics Federation as well as the Heads of Delegation of the 37 participating nations gathered for the official information meeting of this Championship.
There are 288 gymnasts competing at these European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championship here in Sofia which serves as well as qualification event for the second Youth Olympic Games to be held this year in China and for the first ever European Games to be held 2015 in Baku.
During this orientation meeting the different speakers from the UEG, the technical committee and the local organising committee gave some detailed information concerning the organisation in general, the running of the competition, transport etc…
The athletes on their side have started with their official podium training for juniors today morning and tomorrow it will be the seniors’ turn.
