European Gymnastics launches the MAG Online European Club Cup

One platform. One season. One champion. European Gymnastics is launching a brand-new competition for Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG): the MAG Online European Club Cup (ECC). The pilot season will bring together up to 32 leading clubs from across Europe, competing entirely online from their home facilities through the Elevien platform.

The inaugural season kicks off on 23 November 2026, with clubs progressing through online group stages, knockout rounds and a spectacular Final 4. With six MAG apparatus and a fully online competition format, the ECC offers clubs a new way to compete at European level, connect with fans and media, and take their first step towards the global club gymnastics stage.

A new era for European club gymnastics

The MAG Online European Club Cup is designed to bring the best European clubs together in a new, accessible and innovative competition format.

Throughout the season, clubs will compete from their own training facilities, eliminating the need for international travel while maintaining the excitement and competitive spirit of a European club competition.

And this is only the beginning: the ECC will grow with every season – more clubs, more nations and more excitement.

Six reasons your club should be part of the ECC

  • European prestige – Make history
Be part of the inaugural edition of a brand-new European club competition and make your mark on its history.

Face leading clubs from across Europe and test your team against top-level international opposition.
  • No travel costs
Compete from your own home facilities, with no international travel required.
  • Prize pool & recognition
Compete for a share of the prize pool while gaining recognition at European level.
  • Fan & media exposure
Bring your club into the spotlight and create new opportunities to engage with fans and media.
  • Global path
The ECC is the first step towards the global club gymnastics stage, with the best European clubs set to represent Europe at World Gymnastics level.

How does the ECC work?

The competition is delivered entirely through the Elevien platform, making it possible for clubs, coaches and judges to take part remotely.

1. Clubs record their routines

Coaches record their gymnasts’ routines directly through the app.

  • Routines are recorded for each apparatus.
  • Recordings must be submitted within the defined competition deadline.
  • Clubs compete from their own home facilities.

2. Judges review and score

Judges review the recorded routines and enter their scores remotely through the app.

  • Judges can score using their mobile devices or laptops.
  • Scores must be submitted within the defined deadline.
  • All judging is conducted remotely.

3. Results are calculated and published

Once scores have been submitted, league points and rankings are calculated according to the competition rules.

Results are then displayed on the dedicated ECC competition portal, allowing clubs, fans and the wider gymnastics community to follow the competition throughout the season.

Competition structure

The pilot season will feature 32 clubs, competing through a series of online group-stage and knockout matches before reaching the Final 4.

Following the group stage, all 32 clubs will be ranked in a single table. Their final position will determine their path through the next stages of the competition.

Final 4 – the grand stage

The season will culminate in the online Final 4.

From 28 to 30 January 2027, each club will have a single recording window to submit its routines. One recording per club will be permitted within this window, with no additional routines.

On 31 January, the scores from these recordings will be used to calculate six matches and establish one final ranking table.

At the end of the Final 4, the European Club Cup champion, as well as the clubs finishing second, third and fourth, will be crowned.
