The 2026 European Championships in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics came to a spectacular close today with the Team Final, and the athletes certainly lived up to expectations.
World Gymnastics 2, led by Angelina Melnikova, dominated the competition. All three gymnasts competed on all four apparatus, delivering outstanding performances throughout the final. They were particularly impressive on Vault and Uneven Bars, with no score below 14.000 on either apparatus.
Italy, led by talented Manila Esposito, who claimed the Floor title yesterday afternoon, finished comfortably in second place. The Italian team produced some particularly strong performances on Uneven Bars.
The battle for third place was much closer, with France, Germany and Great Britain all fighting for the final spot on the podium. In the end, it was France, led by Elena Colas, who secured the bronze medal.
Congratulations to the medallists!
