Golden Star Maria Manuela Correia (POR) passed away aged 92

Sad news reaches us from Portugal. One of the three inaugural members of the ‘Golden Star Club’, Maria Manuela Correia, passed away on 6 January, at the age of 92.

Manuela was a gymnast of the group ‘Reencontros’ of Sporting Clube de Portugal. She participated in almost all editions of the Golden Age Gym Festival and in many World Gymnaestradas.

Manuela was an example of energy, good mood and dedication to Gymnastics, and a living proof that Gymnastics really is for All! Rest in Peace Manuela.
