A golden start for Melnikova in Zagreb

After two days of podium training in Zagreb, competition is officially underway at the European Championships! Angelina Melnikova claimed the All-Around title with an impressive score of 55.932, setting the tone for an exciting week of competition. She will compete in three apparatus finals on Saturday.

Her teammate Anna Kalmykova (54.632) secured second place to take the silver medal.

France’s Elena Colas made an impressive senior debut, delivering a high-level performance to claim the bronze medal with a score of 53.966.

The day also featured the Women’s Senior qualification rounds, with the top eight gymnasts on each apparatus securing their place in Saturday’s apparatus finals, which will begin at 15:00 at the Zagreb Arena. The eight best teams will compete for the Team title on Sunday, following the Junior Apparatus Finals.
