Competition continued in Varna at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships with both the Group All-Around and Senior Team events taking center stage.
Defending European champions Spain, who will also host the next European Championships in Pamplona from 12–16 May 2027, made history once again by securing another Group All-Around gold medal. The Spanish team delivered one of the most dominant performances ever seen in a Group All-Around competition, finishing comfortably ahead of their rivals. Russia claimed the silver medal, while Israel completed the podium in third place.
The qualification rounds also determined the finalists for the apparatus competitions. In the 5 Balls final, Spain, Belarus, Russia, Israel, Bulgaria, Hungary, France, and Poland secured their places. In the 3 Ribbons + 2 Hoops final, Spain, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Finland, and Belarus advanced to compete for the medals.
In the Senior Team competition, host nation Bulgaria delighted the home crowd by taking the gold medal, led by the outstanding performances of Stiliana Nikolova and Eva Brezalieva.
