Live ACRO together! The Acrobatic Gymnastics Newsletter N° 10

Wow, wow, wow … Words alone cannot do justice to the wonderful display of acrobatic gymnastics at the 2019 Europeans in Holon (ISR)!

A fantastic setting, fabulous performances, a record 18 countries competing in the senior competition -an increase of 5 compared to 2017- and a total of 12 countries returning home with at least one medal, gives us thousand reasons to be grateful and proud. To all the European federations … keep up the great work. Acro needs to grow and be seen, and you did just that.

Now that the new year has started, we look forward to start the season with several World Cups, the World Age Group Competitions and World Championships, and of course our annual training camp in Kamchia (BUL) which will be held from 1 to 7 August! More info below …

 

A huge THANK YOU goes to the Israeli Gymnastics Federation who lifted this event to another level. The fabulous hall, set-up and lighting provided in Holon’s Toto Arena put the spotlight on Acro. And the gymnasts returned the favour by showing off their fantastic skills in creative choreographies, truly giving the best of themselves, both during the European Age Group Competitions the first week and the following week in the junior and senior Europeans. All the action was followed by thousands of spectators worldwide via the livestream provided by our partner SmartScoring.

While four units managed to win the ‘triple crown’ (all three European titles in their category), we are very proud to see gymnasts of 12 countries standing on the medal podium. And the huge success of the Israeli team, drew TV crews and national newspaper agencies to Holon, giving the event the place it deserved in the media.

Thank you Holon! Thank you gymnasts!

• Development plans
• Specific requests indicated on the inscription form
• Everything you ever wished to know about this exciting gymnastics discipline

 

Join us in Kamchia (BUL) this summer, from 1 to 7 August 2020, to train with and learn from some of the best Acro coaches in the world: Nikolay Ivanov (BUL), Dmitry Vinnikov (RUS), Galina Kovalchuk (UKR), Igor Blintsov (GER), Yury Golyak (UKR), Eva Mauriceau (FRA) and Vladimir Makarchenko (GBR).
