Dear ACRO lovers
On 1 January, our new Technical Committee started its mission. I’m pleased to take over from Carine Charlier whose excellent leadership I aim to continue and to serve our community. Together with my TC members Katarzyna Majewska-Kasprzak (POL), Kim Bruggeman (BEL), Ian De Schoenmacker (SUI), Wladislav Ljubimov (GER), Eva Mauriceau-Pioline (FRA) and Lucilia Rodrigues (POR), we’ve started working on the planning of next year’s flagship event: the European Youth Championships and European Championships in the Italian coastal town Pesaro.
In addition to that, we’re preparing our annual training camp, taking place this summer in Bulgaria, and are planning an exciting webinar and looking into providing workshops to support to continued development of Acro in Europe. Read all about it below…
In March 2027, we’re heading to the beautiful Italian town of Pesaro which will also host the 2026 edition of the World Championships in Acrobatic Gymnastics.
We plan to kick off the festivities with the Youth Championships, from 18 to 21 March 2027, immediately followed by the European Championships for juniors and seniors from 24 to 28 March 2027. Already noted in your calendar? Get those dates blocked right away!
The place to be will be the iconic Vitrifrigo Arena, host of several gymnastics competitions in the past, including the Rhythmic World Championships.

Keep your eye on these event website and on the social media channels of European Gymnastics to all the relevant information, including launch of the ticket sales!
Great news! We’re returning to the excellent facilities in Kranevo (BUL) for our annual training camp!
From 27 July to 2 August, we welcome between 50 and 100 gymnasts of all levels. I’ll be joined by world-renowned experts in both technical development and choreography Eva Mauriceau (FRA), Ana Matyskina (GER), Galina Kovalchuk (UKR), Irada Gurbanova (AZE), Igor Blintsov (GER), Nikolay Ivanov (BUL), Sergey Tretyakov (BEL), Vladimir Makarchenko (GBR), Yury Golyak (UKR) and Yves Vander Donckt (GER). We provide an informal yet professional atmosphere where gymnasts can excel, learn from us and from each other, to enjoy Acro to its fullest potential, and make friends for life.
In parallel to the training camp, workshops for coaches will be organised. This includes topics like progression and development of pair and group elements; training and conditioning; code of points; table of difficulty; constructing a routine; development plans; and everything you ever wished to know about this exciting gymnastics discipline.
Interested? Contact your Federation! Hurry up though … the deadline is 27 May!
Over the past years, members of the Technical Committee have travelled all over Europe, supporting member federations of European Gymnastics that want to develop Acro. From Finland over Romania to Estonia, we’d love to continue this project.
