Rest in peace, Paul Garber

It is with great sadness that European Gymnastics has learned of the tragic passing of Mr Paul Garber, Member of the European Gymnastics Executive Committee from 1998 to 2005 and Vice President of our Union from 2005 to 2013, when he was awarded the well-deserved title of Honorary Member.

From 2007 to 2012, Paul also served as President of British Gymnastics. Prior to becoming President, he served as Deputy President for 10 years and as Chairman of the British Gymnastics Executive Committee.

With fifteen years of service to the former UEG, Mr Garber was truly a fundamental figure within our organisation and played an important role in the development of gymnastics across Europe.

European Gymnastics extends its deepest sympathy and condolences to Mr Garber’s family and friends, as well as to the entire British gymnastics’ community.
