In the framework of the 31st Congress, European Gymnastics organised the second edition of the CEO Symposium on Sunday 30 November 2025.
Organised for the first time at the previous congress two years ago, this CEO Symposium serves as a knowledge exchange platform for the leading executive staff of our 50 member federations.
We were pleased to welcome 20 National Federations to this session which had as main topic ‘Crisis Management’. Following a keynote speech run by International SOS Global Crisis Management Practice Leader Gautier Porot, the participants joined a workshop with tabletop exercise to discuss useful insights from the basics of crisis management to best practices on crisis preparedness and response within the context of a sporting event.
European Gymnastics General Director Lisa Worthmann was delighted to see the engagement shown:
Cooperation between us and our member federations is a key aim for European Gymnastics. That’s why we decided two years ago to include this platform for Executive Leads. I hope that an increase in participation will continue in the following years. It reflects the growing energy and commitment within our European Gymnastics community. The CEO Symposium plays a vital role in this progress, offering a unique opportunity for dialogue, innovation, and shared responsibility as we shape the future of our sport.
