The 2022 junior European Champions … Elvira Krasnobaeva, Michelle Munits, Amalia Lica and Daniela Munits

What a day at Tel Aviv Expo! After an exciting qualification round yesterday, the junior gymnasts gave the best of themselves in the apparatus finals.

Host nation Israel, winner of yesterday’s team gold, continued its winning way, collecting two titles and a bronze medal. Twins Michelle and Daniela Munits are now both individual junior European Champions, winning the ball and ribbon final respectively, while Alone Tal Franco claimed the bronze with hoop.

Bulgaria’s Elvira Krasnobaeva rapidly makes a name for herself, showcasing beautiful lines and technique. Her reward today … gold with hoop and silver with ball. Amalia Lica wrote history for Romania, becoming her country’s first European Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics! Lica excelled with clubs, after witnessing teammate Christina Dragan’s bronze medal winning ball routine.

The only gymnast to compete in all four finals, Poland’s Liliana Lewinska definitely left a lasting impression on the crowd. Her originality and creativity mark her as one to watch in the future. For now, she can proudly return home with two silver and 1 bronze medal.
