Albina Deriugina passes away

It’s with infinite sadness the European Gymnastics community learned of the passing of Ukraine’s rhythmic gymnastics legend Albina Deriugina shortly after her 91^st birthday.

Albina Deriugina was involved in rhythmic gymnastics since its’ beginnings as an international competitive discipline and during her long coaching career raised many gymnasts to win medals at Olympic Games, World- and European Championships.

She has been a very important figure in world-wide rhythmic gymnastics and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
