Decisions of the Executive Committee - January 2022

On 20 and 21 January, the Executive Committee of European Gymnastics met in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius for their first meeting of 2022. Led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), the debates have resulted in the following official decisions and information:

• The accounts of 2021 and the budget for 2022 were presented and discussed.
• The general programme of the 2022 Congress, to be held in December in Portugal, was decided.
• European Gymnastics will organise an election for ‘Gymnast of the Year 2021’, for all Olympic disciplines.
• The 2024 European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling have been awarded to Guimaraes (POR). This event will take place from 3 to 7 April 2024.
• A call for hosts is open for the following European Gymnastics events: 2023 Congress, 2024 Golden Age Gym Festival, 2024 TeamGym Europeans, 2025 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic, Rhythmic, Aerobic and Acrobatic Gymnastics, 2025 Congress, 2026 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics, 2026 European Gym for Life Challenge and EUROGYM, 2026 Golden Age Gymnastics Festival and 2026 TeamGym Europeans.

 

The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Lausanne (SUI) from 15 to 17 July 2022.
