On 31 January and 1 February 2026, the Executive Committee of European Gymnastics met in its Lausanne (SUI) headquarters for the first meeting of the new legislative cycle. Led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), the following official decisions were made:
- The Medical Guidelines 2026 were approved. These will be published on our website shortly.
- The Jury of Appeal duties for the 2026 season were appointed.
- The minimum age of the EUROGYM & EGFL participants has changed to 11 in the year of the event, starting with the 2028 editions.
- Details for a European Gymnastics Parkour working group were defined. On Monday 2 February, National Federations received a communication to submit proposals for members.
- A call for hosts is open for the following European Gymnastics events: 2026 European Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics stages, the 2027 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics, the 2027 Congress, the 2028 European Championships in Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics, the 2028 European Gym for Life Challenge, 2028 EUROGYM including Acro Pre-Youth event, the 2028 Golden Age Gym Festival, the 2029 multidiscipline event junior & youth and the 2029 European Gymnastics Games.
The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Reykjavik (ISL) on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June 2026.
