On 18 and 19 June, the Executive Committee of European Gymnastics met online for their second meeting of 2021. Led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), the debates have resulted in the following official decisions and information:
- The proposals for the Technical Regulations 2022 – 2023 were discussed. These will be finalised at the next meeting.
- The 2020 accounts have been approved.
- A set of All-around medals will be awarded in the senior competition, based on the qualification ranking, at the 2022 European Championships in Munich (GER).
- The 2023 European Championships in Aerobic Gymnastics have been awarded to Antalya (TUR) and will take place from 17 to 19 November 2023.
- The 2024 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics have been awarded to Napoli (ITA). Awaiting approval of FIG, the provisional dates are 24 – 28 April for men and 1 – 5 May for the women.
- A call for hosts is open for the following European Gymnastics events: the 2023 Congress and the 2024 European Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics and TeamGym.
The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Lausanne (SUI) from 10 to 12 September 2021.
