Decisions of the Executive Committee - September 2022

On 2 and 3 September, the Executive Committee of European Gymnastics met in its headquarters in Lausanne for their third meeting of 2022. Led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), the debates have resulted in the following official decisions and information:

• The 2025 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics have been awarded to Tallinn (EST). This event will take place from 28 May to 1 June 2025.
• As requested by the Italian Gymnastics Federation, the 2024 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics were moved from Napoli to Rimini.
• The Accreditation rules were updated and approved. It will be published on our website under ‘Rules’.
• The Technical Regulations 2024 – 2025 have been approved. It will be published on our website under ‘Rules’.
• The requests for contribution of the European Gymnastics Development Programme were discussed. The National Federations will be contacted by the office in the coming weeks.
• The budget 2023 was discussed.
• As after the extended deadline for candidatures until August 29, European Gymnastics has not received sufficient candidatures for the position of Trampoline Technical Committee member of persons who fulfil the criteria of having Brevets in all 3 categories (TRA, TUM, DMT), the decision has been taken to allow also candidates for the position Trampoline Technical Committee member who have at least one FIG Brevet (of level 1 or 2). All member Federations have been contacted by email.
• A call for hosts is open for the following European Gymnastics events: 2024 TeamGym Europeans, 2025 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic, Aerobic and Acrobatic Gymnastics, 2025 Congress, 2026 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics, 2026 European Gym for Life Challenge and EUROGYM, 2026 Golden Age Gymnastics Festival, 2026 TeamGym Europeans and the 2027 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics.

 

The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Albufeira (POR) on the eve of the European Gymnastics Congress on 1 December 2022.
