ECh MAG Sofia 2014 : juniors apparatus finals

The 8 best junior gymnasts on each apparatus who qualified in the beginning of the competition now compete the finals to battle out the supreme title and to confirm the European specialist on each apparatus.

Great Britain's Nile Wilson won three events this morning (pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar) to conclude a fantastic championships with 5 gold medals. His teammates also did very well: Giarnni Regini-Moran won floor and placed second on vault. Brinn Bevan won silver on both rings and parallel bars, while Gaius Thompson won silver on floor.

The only gold medals that didn't go to Great Britain were gold on vault for Russia's Nikita Nagornyy and the rings title for Austria's Vinzenz Hoeck. 

Switzerland's Sascha Alexander Coradi won two bronze medals, on floor and on high bar. France's Zachari Hrimeche won silver on high bar and bronze on vault, tied with Belgium's Florian Landuyt. On pommel horse Sergei Eltcov (RUS) won silver ahead of Simone Bresolin (ITA). Israel's Glazer won bronze on rings while Ukraine also conquered a bronze medal, for Eduard Yermakov on parallel bars.

Detailed competition with scores:

The two first finals were those on floor and on pommel horse.

On floor, the British boys go 1-2. Regini-Moran scores 14.700 to take the gold ahead of teammate Thompson (14.500). Switzerland's Coradi scores 14.466 to win bronze.

On pommel horse, the all-around champion Nile Wilson (GBR) takes the European title with a score of 14.200. Russia's Sergei Eltcov wins silver and Italy's Simone Bresolin wins bronze.

 

Russia's Nikita Nagornyy wins the vault title with a great Roche and 2,5-twisting Tsukahara. He scores 14.933. Silver goes to Giarrni Regini-Moran (GBR) with 14.733. Bronze is a tie between Belgium's Florian Landuyt and France's Zachari Hrimeche with 14.466.

Austria's Vinzenz Hoeck win the rings title with 14.433 ahead of Brinn Bevan (GBR) who scores 14.100. Israel's Eyal Glazer is third with 13.966.

Nile Wilson (GBR) wins both parallel bars and high bar! On parallel bars he scores 14.800 to take the title ahead of teammate Brinn Bevan (14.733). Ukraine's Yermakov wins bronze (14.166).

On high bar Wilson scores 14.166. France's Zachari Hrimeche wins silver with 13.833 and Sascha Alexander Coradi (SUI) wins bronze with 13.666
