The Vitrifrigo Arena in Pesaro (ITA) hosted the fourth and last World Cup stage last weekend. Twins Dina and Arina Averina proved themselves as the ones to beat yet again, claiming 10 medals between them, including all victories except with ball. That title went to Israeli star Linoy Ashram who also claimed the silver with hoop and clubs. Vice-European Champion Alina Harnashko (BLR) earned the bronze medal in the all-around and with ribbon.
In the race for the Olympic spots, FIG confirmed that Ekaterina Vedeneeva (SLO) and Sabina Tashkenbaeva (UZB) got a nominative quota and Chisaki Oiwa secured a non-nominative place for Japan.
The Russian group topped the all-around standings ahead of Bulgaria and Belarus, while home favourites Italy won both apparatus titles.
Linoy Ashram is the big winner of the World Cup series, claiming the trophy in the all-around and for 3 out of the 4 apparatus!
Congratulations to all medallists!
