European Champion Daniel Bali claims three titles in Cantanhede

The first Aerobics World Cup of the year, in the Portuguese town of Cantanhede, proved hugely successful for European Champion Daniel Bali (HUN)! Not only did he claim the gold medal in the Individual Men’s category, he paired up with Fanni Mazacs to win the Mixed Pairs’ competition and the two of them joined forces with Balasz Farkas to top the Trio final. Not a bad day in the office, right?

Junior stand-out Ayse Onbasi of Turkey proved she adjusted well to the senior level as she convincingly took gold in the Individual Women final. Portugal’s Sara Silva clinched the silver, just 0.050 ahead of Russia’s Ekaterina Pykhtova who collected two silver medals in trios and groups as well.

Bulgaria, represented by Tihomir Barotev, Ivelina Lukaki, Antonio Papazov, Darina Pashova and Ana Maria Stoilova, performed a strong group exercise, claiming the gold medal with half a point advantage over Russia, and more than a full point ahead of China.
