Another busy day in Portimao as the Portuguese audience witnessed the remaining semi-finals and all team finals on day 4 of the 30th European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling.
12 sets of medals were up for grabs today in the Portimao Arena! We saw team finals for both juniors and seniors in Double Mini-Trampoline, Tumbling and Trampoline mesmerising the enthusiastic crowd. The British team featuring Henry Roberts, Harry William Bingham, Frankie John Clark and Harry Lewis Fraser won junior tumbling. The senior final saw a face off between European and World Champions Azerbaijan represented by Aleksey Karatashov, Tofig Aliyev, Mikhail Malkin and Adil Hajizada, and the Danish team. Denmark scored two second group places courtesy of Marius Bundgaard and Martin Abildgaard with their third gymnast, defending European Champion Magnus Lindholmer, posting the best score, under loud support of reserve Frederik Skaaning. Victory for Denmark! All other team finals were won by neutral athletes. Double Olympic Champion Ivan Litvinovich showed off his signature exquisite execution to lead his teammates to victory in Trampoline. The host nation Portugal enjoyed a successful outing, clinching 5 bronze medals!
Congratulations to the medalllists!
