The 28th Trampoline Europeans went out with a bang in the Fiera di Rimini! On the menu today … all 12 individual finals!
Great Britain continued their success at these Championships with a marvellous collection today of 5 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medal. Reigning World Champion Bryony Page easily won the Trampoline final while Kirsty Way regained her Double Mini-Trampoline title. Juniors Alicia Field and Bailey Forbes (tumbling) and Molly McKenna (DMT) took top honours as well.
The Spanish national anthem sounded twice, both times for Double Mini-Trampoline where Nuno Villafane won the boys’ and David Franco the men’s final.
Led by the French delegation, the audience sang La Marseillaise at the top of their lungs twice. First, tumbling star Candy Briere-Vetillard posted the top score. Then, Allan Morante performed the best in Trampoline.
History was written by Denmark’s Rasmus Steffensen, the 2016 junior European Champion and 2018 silver medallist, as he posted a 30.700 for the gold, Denmark’s first European gold ever.
The junior Trampoline titles were won by Azerbaijan’s rising star Magsud Mahsudov, who also won gold in synchro, and Italy’s Silvia Coluzzi. Pure joy for the Italian delegation in front of the home crowd.
Congratulations!
