First finalists known at #TRA2026

The 30th edition of the European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling kicked off today in the Portuguese seaside town of Portimao.

On the programme today … the juniors conquered the individual trampoline first qualification round and the seniors gave the best of themselves on Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline!

The host nation Portugal started off strongly with Vasco Peso’s leading an exceptionally talented field on tumbling. Posting a total of score of 56.600, Peso held off Denmark’s Martin Abildgaard and Azerbaijani powerhouses Mikhail Malkin and Tofiq Aliyev, with defending European Champion Magnus Lindholmer in fifth place. The team final promises firework too: Denmark outscored Azerbaijan by just over a point, with Great Britain in third.

In women’s Double Mini-Trampoline, neutral athletes Alena Kalashnikova and double European Champion Kirsty Way both scored 52.200. The Highest combined difficulty score determined the ranking, with Kalashnikova placing first and Way second going into the final. 3. Molly Mckenna (GBR) finished third ahead of Galina Begim (AIN) and Matilde Oliveira (POR). Great Britain, the neutral athletes, Portugal, Germany and Spain will battle for the top spot in the team final.

Top qualifiers for Junior Individual Trampoline are Yelizar Hutsau (men) and Glafira Zaiko (women) while Timofei Golubenko topped senior men DMT and Arina Kaliandra was the best in Tumbling as they all head into the semi-final on Saturday.
