Harry Hepworth once again led the way as the Perfect 10 came to an end, on a day dominated by gymnasts from Great Britain.
Hepworth, who starred to medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, continued his stunning form from the qualification and semi-final rounds, to secure big victories on the still rings and on the floor. But on the rings he wasn’t alone, as USA’s Alex Diab equalled his score of 9.333, with the same 2.0 difficulty making it a double gold spot.
The British star wasn’t solo when it came to success though. On parallel bars, it was Jonas Rushworth who improved from a third placed finish in the semi-finals to win here thanks to a score of 9.233.
And the fourth British title of the weekend was claimed by Reuben Ward. Ward – who had shone throughout the entirety of the Perfect 10 on the pommel horse, made no mistake yet again to claim a 9.466 and victory, narrowly ahead of 2022 World medallist Jordan’s Ahmad Abu al Soud.
It wasn’t a full clean sweep for Great Britain though, as Italy’s Gabriele Tisselli did enough on the horizontal bar. His 9.300 put him 0.100 ahead of second placed Robert Tvorogal of Lithuania.
