The 28th European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling started with a bang for powerhouse Great Britain. On the opening night, both British junior Trampoline teams were victorious, receiving the final standings just minutes apart. Leaping for joy, the 8 gymnasts ran towards each other and hugged in happiness. What a splendid evening for Theo Gundry-White, Keir Davidson, Sam Hancock, Will Sheridan, Sarah Gallacher, Sophie Millican, Ellie Vassel and Gabriella Moorhouse!
Also, in the Greek delegation we spotted tears of joy. The combined effort of Maria Papadatou, Aikaterini Papadatou, Christina Papathanasiou and Olga Makri resulted in the silver medal ahead of the home nation’s Silvia Coluzzi, Letizia Radaelli and Sofia Antoniani.
In the boys competition, France, represented by Dayaen Hibon, Mervan Coskun, Remi Brochard and Alexis Regulus clinched the silver ahead of Bulgarians Martin Dimitrov, Kaloyan Petrov and Georgi Basarbovski.
