Israel and Bulgaria claim first #ACRO2025 Age Group titles

After two days of qualification rounds, the beautiful Coque Arena in the city of Luxembourg witnessed the first finals of these European Age Group Competitions. On the programme today: the Pre Youth Men’s Pair and Mixed Pair finals.

Three Men’s Pairs qualified to this evening’s final. Performing their Dynamic exercise, Israel’s Yonatan Shechner and Jonathan Weitzman Dach amassed a total score of 26.900, claiming their European title of this event. Their execution and artistry scores gave them the edge over Bulgaria’s Grisha Kolev and Borislav Mladenov who impressed with their quirky routine under loud encouragement from their friends and family. The bronze medal went to Nichita Prodius and Artiom Utiumov, representing the Republic of Moldova.

Eight Mixed Pairs gave it their all during their Balance routine to battle for the medals. The Bulgarian fans got what they came for: a European title for the talented Simona Ivanova and Hasan Ismail. With a great score of 27.500, the Bulgarian duo created a gap of 6 tenths over their nearest rivals Lourenco Cartaxo and Noa Rodrigues (POR). Israel’s Karen Sarit Ruinskiy and Shalev Havshush won the bronze in a tie breaker over Belgium’s Fien Michaud and Gilles Struelens.

As only 1 Men’s Group registered, this category performed out of competition. Israel’s Liam Shemesh, Mark Cohen, Roi Bachar and Tom Aviv showed their potential to the enthusiastic audience, carefully watched by their coach, European and World Champion Efi Sach.
