Junior All-Around titles for Great Britain, Israel and Portugal

On the fourth day of the 32nd European Championships in Acrobatic Gymnastics held at the Coque Arena in the city of Luxembourg, the junior gymnasts competed their combined routine, which together with their balance and dynamic scores, determined the 2025 European All-Around Champions.

In first place going into the women’s pairs final, Abi Read and Evie Jaggers made no doubt about it, they were the ones to beat. And no one even came close! The British duo had almost half a point advantage over nearest rivals, Israel’s Roni Teller and Arad Aber Deutch. Italy’s Sofia D'Errico and Camilla Poerio earned their second bronze medal of the event.

More British success came courtesy of Gemma and Alexis Biddle and Sophie Noyce in the junior women’s groups. Grabbing the dynamic title on Thursday, the trio excelled once again today, producing a fabulous combined routine to hold off the challenge of Israeli trio Noa Yifrah, Noam Ronen and Romi Tal. Azerbaijan adds the bronze to their collection, thanks to a solid effort of Diana Mammadova, Firuza Gasimzada and Safiya Babayeva.

Then it was Israel’s time to shine. First, their men’s pair Ran Aviv and Jonathan Markovich clinched the European title by the widest margin of the day, ahead of Ukraine’s Hlib Honcharuk and Artem Shapoval and Great Britain’s Samuel Austin and Archie Pickles. Then, Noy Cohen and Yannay Regev beat Great Britain’s Harry Norman and Emily Eales by the smallest margin of these finals: 83.990 to 83.940! Bulgaria’s Kristian Manolov and Viliana Kostadinova clinched the bronze in the mixed pairs all-around battle.

Ending the session on a high, Portugal came out on top in the men’s groups final. The expressiveness and spectacular skills during the routine where accompanied by cheers of pure delight when Tomas Martinho, Jorge Silva, Gabriel Vilela and Joao Samico saw their final score. Silver went to Mark Borodin, Oskar Borodin, Erel Paz and Yehonathan Joseph representing Israel, while Mykolai Khasanov, Mykola Soroka, Dmytro Borshchevskyi and Volodymyr Repetii claimed the bronze for Ukraine.
