Dear Trampoline friends
It’s been a busy time for our Technical Committee as we developed and hosted a series of webinars to prepare our judges even better for the international judges’ exams that FIG organises at the beginning of October. We’re proud to see over 140 participants registered. We hope these webinars were useful and we wish you the best of luck for the exams!
During summer, we organised our annual Training camp in Azerbaijan, our athletes gave the best of themselves at The World Games in Chengdu (CHN) and the TC met in Georgia to prepare for the upcoming season. Sadly, we said goodbye to our beloved TC members Luis Nunes and Konrad Bojakowski. At the end of November, at the European Gymnastics Congress in Prague, a new Technical Committee will be chosen.
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m overjoyed to return to Portugal for the 2026 European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling. Our excellent cooperation with the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation enters a new phase as we join them in beautiful Portimao this time. The event marks the first time the U21 category in Trampoline and a mixed synchro event U21 are on the programme! These Europeans will take place from 8 to 12 April 2026. You’d better save the date!
Also for next year … we’re looking for hosts for both our winter and summer training camps 2026! Get in touch!
From 8 to 12 April 2026, Portimao will be the host city of the European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling! I’m convinced it will be a wonderful event thanks to the expertise of the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation, and the great collaboration between the TC and the federation developed over the last years.
During the Federations meetings at previous Championships, we perceived demand for a U21 category in Trampoline, to facilitate the junior to senior transition and age gap. I’m proud that the Executive Committee agreed with our proposal to add the U21 category to the programme! We hope you’ll show up in great numbers, backing this decision. And … in the U21 there will be not only the Trampoline Individual Competition but also the Mixed Synchro!

For the first time, we travelled to Azerbaijan for our annual summer training camp. From 27 July to 2 August 2025, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation hosted us in their magnificent sports complex in Baku, providing truly excellent conditions.
44 gymnasts and 19 coaches from Azerbaijan, Czechia, Denmark, Italy and Sweden jumped to their heart’s desire under the expert eyes of Anette Dalsten, Luis Nunes and Sergio Lucas (TRA), Samuel Castro (DMT) and Adil Huseyn-Zada (TUM).
In an action-packed week with two training sessions a day, we offered specific training focusing on basics and skills improvement. There were 6 trampolines, 2 inground trampolines to the pit, 1 DMT, 1 AirTrack and 1 fast-track available in the gym. It was such a pleasure to see the gymnasts so motivated and always looking out for a new challenge.
Interested in being part of the progress? We’re looking for hosts for our 2026 training camps! Contact the European Gymnastics office on info@europeangymnastics.com for more information!
From 4 to 7 September, our Technical Committee met in Georgia for one of our TC meetings. We were honoured to meet with the Minister of Sport Shalva Gogoladze, accompanied by Georgian trampoline legend Luba Golovina and Georgian Gymnastics Federation President Konstantin Lashkhi. Together we discussed the future of trampoline in the country, which looks bright as plans for multiple training centres were unveiled, and the idea of organising our very own European Championships there too, hopefully in the near future!
This meeting marked the last dance for both Luis Nunes (after 3 terms) and Konrad Bojakowski (2 terms). I warmly thank them for all the work delivered, and fondly look back to the time spent together.
From 7 to 17 August, the Chinese city of Chengdu hosted the 12th edition of the World Games. The competition featured 34 sports, 60 disciplines for a total of 253 medal events!
The Trampoline community got spoilt rotten with Synchro, DMT and Tumbling on the programme. First up, the men’s synchro final delivered an all-European podium with Gabriel Albuquerque and Lucas Santos clinching the gold for Portugal ahead of Rikkert Veldhuizen and Jordy Mol (NED) and Caio Lauxtermann and Fabian Vogel (GER). More success came in DMT where Belgium’s Brent Deklerck won the men’s final and Portugal’s Diana Gago was the best woman. In Tumbling Megan Kealy (GBR) earned top honours while Azerbaijan’s Tofig Aliyev grabbed silver and became an internet session by landing the world’s first ‘full-full-full’. What an advertisement for our sport!
In November, the Spanish Gymnastics Federation will host the Trampoline World Championships, and the World Age Group Competitions which includes the junior Worlds, in Pamplona. Wishing all athletes a focused and safe preparation!

Looking forward to seeing many of you at our Congress in Prague!
