Open letter by Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation

European Gymnastics acknowledges the publication of an open letter by the Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation to the Members of European Gymnastics of July 12th.  Below a summary of the situation.

Based on the decision taken at the 2022 General Assembly, which has been re-confirmed at the 2023 General Assembly, European Gymnastics authorities from the Russian Gymnastics Federation and Belarus Gymnastics Association cannot pursue their functions until further notice. This decision is currently active and will remain in place as long as the General Assembly does not take a different decision.

Based on the European Gymnastics Statutes, the Russian Gymnastics Federation and the Belarus Gymnastics Association are not suspended. Due to that, the federations can participate in the European Gymnastics General Assembly and submit candidatures.

All candidatures for Technical Committees received for the 2025 European Gymnastics elections are currently valid, based on article 21.1 of the European Gymnastics Statutes, which states that requirements of Judges’ Brevet categories must be fulfilled the latest 2 weeks before the start of the General Assembly. (Candidatures not fulfilling Brevet requirements past the deadline 2 weeks before the Assembly, will be cancelled.)
