On Friday, Europe’s best Aerobics gymnasts will take to the stage of the 2025 European Championships! Held for the first time in the city of Ganja (AZE), 18 countries will be represented by 151 senior gymnasts.

Who to watch?
We’re in for an absolute treat! Scheduled to compete are big names like Turkish superstar Ayse Onbasi, reigning World Champion Miquel Mane (ESP), Bulgarian powerhouses Hristo Manolov, Antonio Papazov and Borislava Ivanova, defending European Champions Clara Lestruhaut and Maelys Lenclos (FRA), Ukraine’s Anastasia Kurashvili and Stanislav Halaida among others.
Italy, crowned best team at both the 2023 European and the 2024 World Championships, counts on the expertise of World bronze medallist and defending European Champion Davide Nacci, who has his trusted colleagues including Sara Cutini, Marcelo Patteri, Matteo Falera and Francesco Sebastio by his side. All five athletes enjoyed silver success at the World Games this summer. Romania, the best junior team at the previous Europeans, brings a wealth of experience to Ganja. They will field top names like Leonard Manta, Daniel Tavoc, Darius Branda, Vladut Popa and Claudia Ristea, the World Games bronze medallists in the group final.
Fresh off an impressive victory at the World Games, Antonia Konig, Zoltan Locsei, Fruzsina Fejer, Anna Makranszki, Vanessza Ruzicska, Tunde Himmel, Kamilla Goda and Andras Agoston Mikulecz are looking to bring Aerobic Dance gold to Hungary yet again. The host nation’s hopes rely on reigning Vice-World Champions and World Games silver medallists Vladimir Dolmatov and Madina Mustafayeva.
We’re pleased to welcome former junior standouts like Nadia Almeida, Leonor Januario & Tiago Pinheiro (POR), Aleksandar Mishinkov (BUL), Sampo Nousiainen & Jade Sirvioe (FIN) to the senior competition too!
We’re looking forward to seeing a wealth of skills and creativity out on the floor, and wish all participants a lot of success in achieving their goals!
Competition format
6 categories will be contested during this event: Individual Women (IW), Individual Men (IM), Mixed Pairs (MP), Trios (TR), Groups (GR) and Aerobic Dance (AD).
Qualifications: the top 8 per category proceed to the final. If there are less than 12 entries in a category, only 6 proceed to the final. Max. 2 per country for IW, IM, MP and TR. Max 1 per country for GR and AD.
Finals start from mark of zero. The units with the highest score in each category are declared European Champions. Ties will be broken according to the FIG TR. Sec. 6 –1.2.
The Team ranking will be determined by adding the 5 best places: Individual Men or Individual Women, Mixed Pairs, Trios, Groups and Aerobic Dance. The Federation with the lowest total score will be declared European Team Champion! In case of a tie in points at any place in the Team Ranking, the ranking will be determined by the following criteria:
1. the best ranked Group
2. the best ranked Trio
3. the best ranked counting Aerobic Dance.
If there is still a tie, the tie will not be broken.
