Who to watch
With just 16 gymnasts actually qualifying to the Games in each category, and the unpredictability of Trampoline competitions, all contenders have medal chances.
Both defending Olympic Champions, Zhu Xueying (CHN) and Ivan Litvinovich (AIN), are on hand in Paris to extend their title another four years.
Current European and World Champion Bryony Page (GBR) is looking to complete her Olympic medal set. After silver in Rio and bronze in Tokyo, gold seems the way to go for her. Also on the roster are 2022 World Champion Mori Hikaru (JPN), 2021 junior European Champion Anzhela Bladtceva (AIN), 2019 European Games Champion Lea Labrousse (FRA), Azerbaijan’s first Olympic trampolinist Seljan Mahsudova, Luba Golovina who made her first Olympic appearance for Georgia back in 2008, Spain’s Noemi Romero Rosario and neutral athlete Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya.
In the men’s competition, Litvinovich will face a tough challenge from 2021 and 2023 World Champion Yan Langyu (CHN), his compatriot, the Vice World Champion, Wang Zisai, Tokyo bronze medallist and 2022 World Champion Dylan Schmidt (NZL), Austria’s superstar Benny Wizani, Portugal’s rising star Gabriel Albuquerque, Great Britain’s Zak Perzamanos, 2022 and 2024 European Vice Champion Pierre Gouzou (FRA), Spain’s David Vega and Germany’s Fabian Vogel.
