Stars and top acts at the super show of gymnastics, the ‘Stadium Gala’

The Stadium Gala is the heart of the International German Gymnastics Festival and one of the most impressive shows in the world of gymnastics. Every four years, the German Gymnastics Federation (DTB) brings together the best show acts, top athletes and international groups in a single, breathtaking event. In 2025, the Stadium Gala in Leipzig is celebrating its comeback after an eight-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Saturday 31 May 2025, the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig will be transformed into a spectacular stage for a two-hour show with 3,500 performers. The Stadium Gala will not only focus on the diversity and fascination of gymnastics, but will also create an unforgettable experience with international show groups, impressive large-scale choreographies and rousing live music.    

In addition to the top stars of German gymnastics, numerous international show groups will enrich the programme:  

• Gymnasts from Japan, Finland and Denmark will bring their unique movement skills to the stage.  
• Switzerland impresses with its famous swing ring performances, which are unrivalled worldwide.  
• Spectacular artistic acts provide amazement and enthusiasm.  

The Stadium Gala is not just a show - it is a tribute to the best athletes in gymnastics. Leipzig 2025 provides the stage for some of the biggest names in international gymnastics: Parallel bars World Champion Lukas Dauser, who ended his career after the 2024 Olympic Games, will give goosebumps with a special performance. Olympic Champion and Rhythmic Gymnastics superstar Darja Varfolomeev will thrill the audience together with teammate and Gymnastics Festival ambassador Margarita Kolosov. The gold medallists of the 2025 European Championships in Artistic Gymnastics will also be celebrated and showcased once again on this evening.  

In addition to the sporting highlights, high-calibre music acts will create a rousing atmosphere. The performance by Leipzig cult band ‘Die PRINZEN’, who have written a piece of music history with their humorous and catchy songs, will be particularly emotional. The gymnastics festival motto ‘Leipzig connects!’ runs like a red thread through the show and makes the city itself the protagonist. Leipzig and its history, people and culture are celebrated with impressive choreographies and emotional productions.
